The Akios STR Kuro 651 is the next evolution of the legendary Shuttle platform – tougher, lighter and more refined than ever. Designed for serious shore and competition anglers, this high-performance multiplier reel delivers exceptional casting distance, control and winding power, all wrapped in a striking stealth black and gold finish.

At its heart, the STR Kuro features extra-tough 5.3:1 stainless steel gears, providing smooth yet powerful retrieval with excellent torque under load. The one-piece low profile solid aluminium cage and lightweight anodised aluminium side plates reduce overall weight by almost 100g compared to the standard Shuttle, allowing for faster spool start-up and increased casting potential.

Casting performance is further enhanced by a free-floating spool system running on 2 x ABEC 5 stainless steel bearings, combined with dual centrifugal and magnetic braking systems. This setup offers ultimate spool control, whether casting into headwinds or pushing for maximum distance. The long knobby in-cast magnetic control allows fine adjustments on the fly, giving anglers confidence in all conditions.

Built for durability as well as performance, the Akios STR Kuro 651 includes a larger spindle to prevent spool distortion, corrosion-resistant instant anti-reverse bearing, and carbon multi-disc drag system capable of delivering up to 17.5lb of smooth, consistent drag pressure. A balanced anodised aluminium power handle and aluminium star drag wheel ensure comfort and control during prolonged sessions.
